UC Berkeley is pleased to announce that we are expanding our Visiting Researcher program in partnership with the UC Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator. The Berkeley Blockchain Visiting Researcher program was established as a way to include scholars and practitioners from the US and around the world into our rich and notable UC Berkeley blockchain ecosystem and to enable them to advance their research and tap into the numerous blockchain resources on the UC Berkeley campus and in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Blockchain Xcelerator is a joint venture between UC Berkeley Engineering, the Haas School of Business and the Blockchain at Berkeley student group, and is also supported in part through the efforts of Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI).

Applications are due by February 20, 2020 for international candidates and March 30, 2020 for US-based candidates (not requiring a J-1 visa). Note that researchers are welcome in the areas of policy, law & regulatory, technology, and business & economics.
