Berkeley Center for Responsible, Decentralized Intelligence - RDI
Today we are pleased to provide a preview for a new campus-wide initiative - the Berkeley Center for Responsible, Decentralized Intelligence - The multi-disciplinary Berkeley Center for Responsible, Decentralized Intelligence (RDI) will support 3 pillars: research, education, and community / entrepreneurship. Under the leadership of Profs. Dawn Song and Christine Parlour, the new Center currently includes over 14 UC Berkeley faculty from computer science, finance/economics, and law.
Research areas include foundations for next generation decentralization technologies including scalability, usability, provable security guarantees, auditable privacy, incentive compatibility, systemic stability, and decentralized systems and intelligence, decentralized governance, and responsible innovation / regulation guidance, etc.
RDI will also act as a platform for collaborations globally with other organizations and researchers, as exemplified by UC Berkeley’s leadership with the Decentralized Finance MOOC and new courses such as SP22 Special Topics on Science and Technology of Decentralization and Decentralized Intelligence.
