FAQ In case you had some questions, we got you covered. What is The Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator? UC Berkeley is the #1 public university in the world and has been a thought leader in blockchain, cryptography, digital currencies and distributed ledger technology for over 30 years. UC Berkeley also resides in the leading global location for venture creation - Silicon Valley. These two forces elevate our ecosystem to one of the richest environments in the world for new blockchain ventures. The Xcelerator seeks to leverage these leadership positions to move new blockchain technologies and ventures forward with validation and on to adoption and user growth, while providing unique educational and market-creating career opportunities for our student body. Additionally, the Xcelerator is a joint venture by three premier organizations on the UC Berkeley campus – Berkeley Engineering, the Berkeley Haas School of Business and the Blockchain at Berkeley student group – and leverages the combined networks and resources of all three groups. The Xcelerator seeks teams of strong technical and business founders with unique insights into a broad array of verticals who can leverage UC Berkeley’s unique blockchain, leading research university, and Silicon Valley ecosystems to validate their solutions and move forward to market adoption and growth.
